This is from the iNACOL webinar announcement:

The Council of Chief State School Officers' Innovation Lab Network (ILN) is a group of states taking action to identify, test and implement student-centered approaches to learning that will transform our public education system. The goal of the ILN is to spur system-level change by scaling locally-led innovation to widespread implementation, both within and across states, with a constant focus on student outcomes.

CCSSO and iNACOL are partnering to present a series of three webinars that will highlight innovative practices in various states and school districts, as well as the work of the ILN.

This second webinar in the series highlights the implementation of competency-based education in two school districts: one in Maine, the other in Iowa. School leaders from both districts will share their visioning and planning process; the ongoing discussion with all stakeholders (parents, teachers, students); the transformation of schools and teachers; and the support systems in place to ensure their vision continues to move forward. Presenters will share processes and tools for implementation and ongoing professional development that support a competency-based education system as well as any educational system that has a common vision for innovative, student-centered learning.
