West Wind Education Policy recently received a 2012 Commendation of Excellence in the Government division in the External Communications & Communities category of the Society for New Communications Research Excellence in New Communications Awards program for our role in helping to develop and manage the Iowa Forum on Competency-based Education.  This recognition is a testament to the Iowa Department of Education and its investment in this work and the engagement of Iowa’s educators who take part in this site and have dedicated themselves to understanding and promoting the potential of competency-based education.  West Wind thanks all of you for your work.  This recognition belongs to all of you and we are excited to be a part of the great explorations around CBE in Iowa right now on this site and in the community.
