Not an opinion, Kari--a FACT.  A well written competency is the foundation of CBE.  I plan to attend.  Thanks for posting.

Schools who have started writing competencies shared examples and protocols.  I wish I would have taken better notes!

I will attend a session wiht this title by at the iNACOL conferene next month.  I hope after hearing it a second time, I am better able to articulate what we are learning.  I plan to take notes and will post them on this site, if I think they make sense.  I will attend several sessions on competency-based education.
